Shining Led 24 inch (61 cm) Vision Chart Compatible (Samsung) Visual Acuity Chart TV

Product Overview & Value Proposition

The Shining Sun VISION LED Vision Chart 24 inch TV represents a specialized intersection between consumer display technology and professional diagnostic utility. Designed specifically to be compatible with visual acuity charts, this device is positioned as a dedicated tool for clinical environments where precision and clarity are paramount. While it functions within the framework of a standard LED television, its primary value proposition lies in its ability to serve as a reliable medium for displaying vision testing materials.

Targeted primarily at optometrists, ophthalmologists, and eye care professionals, this unit bridges the gap between traditional printed charts and digital diagnostic displays. By utilizing a 24-inch (61 cm) display area, it provides the necessary scale required for accurate visual acuity assessments. The product is manufactured by Shining Sun Vision in India, catering to a market that requires specialized, purpose-built hardware rather than generic consumer electronics for medical-adjacent applications.

In the broader market, this device occupies a niche segment. It is not intended for high-end home cinema or gaming, but rather for professional settings where the "Eye Care" special feature and specific resolution capabilities can be leveraged to facilitate eye examinations. It offers a compact, functional solution for clinics looking to modernize their diagnostic workflow through digital integration.

This resolution ensures that text-based and symbol-based visual acuity charts are rendered with sufficient sharpness to prevent ambiguity during testing.

Detailed technical metrics include:

• Display Size: 24 inch (61 cm) / 28 inches (as per secondary spec listing)
• Display Technology: LED
• Resolution: 1366 x 768 (HD Ready)
• Aspect Ratio: 16:9
• Refresh Rate: 60 Hz
• Response Time: 5 ms
• Brightness (Typical): 200 cd/m132
• Contrast Ratio: High

It features both VGA and HDMI connectivity, allowing for compatibility with both legacy medical computing systems and modern high-definition outputs. The inclusion of a single HDMI port ensures a streamlined connection for digital signal transmission.

The internal architecture supports an XGA Wide resolution profile and a maximum display resolution of 640 x 480 mp, ensuring that the device can handle various software inputs used in eye care environments. The device is built with a black color finish, maintaining a professional and unobtrusive aesthetic in a clinical room.

Performance, Usability & Everyday Experience

In a real-world clinical scenario, the performance of the Shining Sun VISION LED Vision Chart is defined by its stability and visual clarity. The 60 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms response time contribute to a smooth visual experience, which is critical when transitioning between different charts or symbols during an eye exam. Rapid response times help minimize any ghosting or motion blur that could potentially interfere with a patient's ability to focus on specific characters.

The usability of the device is enhanced by its specialized Eye Care feature. In an optometry setting, reducing eye strain for both the practitioner and the patient is a significant advantage. This feature is designed to manage light output and visual comfort, which is essential during prolonged diagnostic sessions. The viewing angles of 90 degrees horizontal and 65 degrees vertical allow the practitioner to position the screen at various heights and angles within the examination room while maintaining a clear view of the displayed chart.

Connectivity is straightforward; the presence of an HDMI audio input line and standard hardware interfaces means that setting up the device with a laptop or a dedicated vision chart computer is a plug-and-play experience. The inclusion of a remote in the package further enhances usability, allowing the practitioner to adjust settings or navigate software without needing to physically approach the screen, thereby maintaining the integrity of the testing environment.

Design, Build Quality & Efficiency

The physical design of the Shining Sun VISION LED Vision Chart is compact and efficient, making it suitable for examination rooms where space may be limited. The product dimensions are listed at 8 x 60 x 38 cm, with a total weight of 4 kg. This lightweight construction allows for easy placement on desks, stands, or wall mounts within a clinic.

The build quality is reflected in its specialized purpose. The unit comes equipped with a stand, providing a stable base for tabletop use. The black color scheme is professional and helps minimize visual distractions in the background of an eye exam. The dimensions, specifically the 38 cm height and 60 cm width, ensure that the 24-inch display is presented in a way that maximizes the visibility of the visual acuity charts.

Regarding efficiency, the LED technology used in the display ensures that the device operates with modern energy standards, providing the necessary brightness (200 cd/m132) without excessive power consumption. The "High" contrast ratio is a key component of its design, ensuring that the black symbols of a vision chart stand out sharply against the background, which is vital for accurate measurement of visual acuity.
