Whether you are looking to upgrade a home theater or seeking a smart hub that integrates seamlessly with your existing ecosystem, this Nano cell TV offers a robust blend of hardware sophistication and software intelligence. It caters to users who demand high contrast, wide viewing angles, and the convenience of a highly responsive smart interface.

Core Specifications & Architecture

At the heart of the LG 65SM9000PTA is a complex architecture designed to handle high-bitrate 4K content with ease. The display is built upon Nano cell technology, which works in tandem with a 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution to ensure that colors are pure and details are sharp. The 16:9 aspect ratio provides the standard cinematic widescreen format expected in modern high-definition media.

Visual Processing and Display Metrics

The visual performance is driven by the α7 Gen 2 intelligent processor, a dedicated graphics coprocessor that manages image scaling, color accuracy, and motion smoothing. Key technical metrics include:

• Resolution: 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K UHD).
• Contrast Ratio: An impressive 10,000,000 : 1, allowing for deep blacks and bright highlights.
• Refresh Rate: 100 Hz, ensuring smooth transitions in fast-moving scenes.
• Brightness: High brightness capabilities to combat ambient light.
• Viewing Angle: 178 degrees, ensuring color consistency even when viewed from the side.
• Special AI Features: AI Picture and AI Brightness technologies that adjust the display in real-time.

Memory and Hardware Interface

To support the webOS operating system and various smart applications, the device is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory storage. This hardware configuration allows for the smooth execution of streaming apps and system processes. Connectivity is handled through a versatile array of ports and wireless protocols, including:

• HDMI: For high-definition input from consoles, players, and set-top boxes.
• USB: Featuring a total of 3 USB ports for media playback and peripheral connection.
• Wi-Fi & Bluetooth: For wireless internet access and peripheral connectivity.
• Auxiliary: For traditional audio input.

Performance, Usability & Everyday Experience

The real-world performance of the LG 65SM9000PTA is defined by its ability to intelligently interpret content. Through the AI ThinQ platform, the television acts as a smart assistant rather than a passive screen. With built-in Google Assistant and Alexa, users can control their viewing experience and potentially other smart home devices using simple voice commands, making the interface highly accessible.

Smart Interface and Navigation

Running on the webOS operating system, the user experience is designed to be intuitive. The included remote control is a critical component of this usability, featuring navigation keys specifically designed for better function control. The remote utilizes both Bluetooth and IR (Infrared) technology, providing a more reliable and modern interaction method compared to standard IR-only remotes.

Audio Immersion

Sound performance is a significant aspect of the everyday experience. The device features a 40-watt audio output in a stereo configuration. However, the audio architecture is far more advanced than simple stereo, incorporating:

• Dolby Vision Atmos: For cinematic, spatial audio depth.
• AI Sound and AI Acoustic Tuning: Which optimizes the audio output based on the content and the room's acoustics.
• Wireless Sound: Supporting 2-way Bluetooth connectivity for external audio systems.

This combination ensures that whether you are watching a high-octane action movie or a quiet drama, the soundscape is tailored to provide maximum immersion without necessarily requiring an immediate external soundbar upgrade.

Design, Build Quality & Efficiency

The physical presence of the LG 65SM9000PTA is characterized by its nano bezel design, which minimizes the frame around the screen to maximize the viewing area. This aesthetic choice provides a modern, "edge-to-edge" look that complements contemporary interior design. The unit is finished in a sleek Black colorway.

Dimensions and Mounting

The television is a substantial piece of hardware, weighing 41 kg 400 g. Its dimensions are listed as 35 x 168.1 x 104.4 cm, making it a significant installation in any room. For installation flexibility, LG provides two primary mounting options:

• Table Mount: For traditional placement on a TV stand or console.
• Wall Mount: For a more streamlined, space-saving installation.

Power and Component Reliability

The device operates on a standard AC power source. While specific energy consumption metrics are not detailed, the inclusion of AI Brightness suggests an intelligent approach to managing light output, which can contribute to more efficient operation by adjusting intensity based on ambient light levels. The build quality is backed by LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., ensuring a standard of manufacturing expected from a global leader in display technology.
