Kodak 32 inch (80 cm) Matrix Series Google 32MT5077 (Black) Android HD Ready QLED TV

The Kodak 32 inch (80 cm) Matrix Series Google 32MT5077 represents a specialized entry into the compact smart television market, blending advanced display technology with a robust software ecosystem. As a 2024 model, this device is designed to bring high-end visual features, such as QLED and HDR, to a smaller form factor that is ideal for bedrooms, studio apartments, or secondary viewing areas. By leveraging the Google Android TV operating system, Kodak has positioned this model as a highly connected hub for modern streaming enthusiasts who prioritize ease of use and application availability.

Positioned within the Matrix Series, the 32MT5077 aims to bridge the gap between standard HD televisions and premium smart displays. While many 32-inch televisions rely on basic LED panels, the inclusion of QLED technology suggests a focus on color accuracy and brightness that is often absent in this size category. This makes it a compelling choice for users seeking a sophisticated multimedia experience in a space-efficient package.

Core Specifications & Architecture

The technical foundation of the Kodak 32MT5077 is built around a 32-inch (80 cm) display that utilizes QLED technology to enhance visual output. While the resolution is HD Ready (1366 x 768 pixels), the integration of HDR (High Dynamic Range) ensures that the display can handle a wider spectrum of light and color, providing more detail in both highlights and shadows. The panel operates at a 60 Hz refresh rate with a response time of 8 milliseconds, providing smooth motion for standard broadcast and streaming content.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a Mali graphics coprocessor, which works in tandem with the Android operating system to manage visual rendering and interface fluidity. The hardware configuration includes 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage (ROM), providing the necessary resources to run various applications and store essential data. The system architecture is designed to support a wide array of connectivity options, ensuring the TV can act as a central component in a modern home entertainment setup.

Performance, Usability & Everyday Experience

In real-world usage, the Google Android TV interface serves as the primary driver of the user experience. The inclusion of Google Assistant via a dedicated voice-enabled remote control significantly enhances usability, allowing users to navigate menus, search for content, and control smart functions through simple voice commands. The remote itself is a sophisticated piece of hardware, utilizing both Bluetooth and IR technology to ensure reliable communication with the TV, featuring a "one click" shortcut for services like the Play Store and SonyLiv.

Streaming performance is bolstered by Dual Band Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, which are critical for maintaining stable connections during high-bitrate playback. The device comes pre-loaded with and supports a wide variety of popular applications, including Netflix, YouTube, Disney+Hotstar, Zee5, and SonyLiv. This ensures that users have immediate access to a vast library of global and local content. Furthermore, the Screen Mirroring feature allows for seamless integration with Android, iPhone, and tablet devices, making it easy to cast photos or videos directly from a mobile device to the larger screen.

The audio experience is a standout feature for a television of this size. With a 48-watt maximum output power, the audio system is significantly more robust than standard small-screen televisions. The audio architecture is supported by Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-TruSurround technologies, providing a multi-dimensional soundscape. The surround sound output mode and DD audio encoding ensure that movies and music are delivered with clarity and depth, creating an immersive environment for the viewer.
