Product Overview & Value Proposition

The Ultimus Pro Intel Celeron Dual Core N4020, model NU14U3INC43BN CS, is a specialized entry-level computing solution designed for users who prioritize mobility and essential digital tasks. Positioned within the Pro series, this Thin and Light Laptop is engineered to serve as a portable hub for entertainment and basic productivity. By leveraging the efficiency of the Intel Celeron architecture, Ultimus has created a device that targets a specific market segment: students, casual web browsers, and mobile users who require a lightweight machine for media consumption and light administrative duties.

In a market often saturated with heavy, high-performance workstations, the Ultimus Pro stands out by offering a streamlined experience. It is not intended for high-end gaming or professional video editing; rather, its value proposition lies in its 14.1-inch HD display, its highly portable form factor, and its integration of Windows 11 Home. This makes it an accessible gateway for individuals entering the Windows ecosystem or those looking for a secondary, highly mobile device for traveling and light daily use.

The device is characterized by its Silver aesthetic and its commitment to a "thin and light" philosophy. With a focus on being a Stylish & Portable Thin and Light Laptop, it addresses the modern need for hardware that can be easily carried in a backpack or messenger bag without adding significant bulk. It is a device built for the "on-the-go" lifestyle, where the primary goal is connectivity and content consumption.

Core Specifications & Architecture

At the heart of the Ultimus Pro is the Intel Celeron Dual Core N4020 processor. This 14 NM architecture-based chip is designed for power efficiency, featuring 2 cores and a 4 MB Intel Smart Cache. The processor is capable of reaching a Max Frequency of up to 2.8 GHz, providing sufficient burst performance for handling web browsing, document editing, and video playback. To support these processing tasks, the system is equipped with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking within the constraints of entry-level computing.

Storage on this model is handled by 128 GB of eMMC storage. While the specifications note a storage type of SSD, the specific capacity is listed as 128 GB eMMC, which provides a balance of speed and efficiency for storing essential files, applications, and the Windows 11 Home operating system. This configuration is optimized for users who rely heavily on cloud storage or keep their local file footprint relatively small.

The visual and auditory experience is driven by Intel Integrated UHD Graphics. The display is a 14.1-inch (35.81 cm) HD screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The color reproduction is rated at a 45% NTSC color gamut, which is standard for entry-level panels focused on clarity and functional viewing. For audio, the laptop includes built-in speakers and an internal microphone, complemented by a 1 Mega Pixel web camera for video conferencing and digital communication.

Connectivity is robust for its class, featuring 802.11 b/g/n/ac 2.4G & 5G wireless WAN capabilities, allowing for high-speed internet access across various frequency bands. Additionally, it includes Bluetooth v4.2 for wireless peripheral connectivity. The physical interface includes a variety of ports to ensure utility:

• 1 x Mini HDMI Port for external display connections.
• 1 x USB 3.0 Port for high-speed data transfer.
• 1 x USB 2.0 Port for standard peripheral connectivity.

Performance, Usability & Everyday Experience

In real-world scenarios, the Ultimus Pro is optimized for entertainment and light productivity. The combination of the Intel Celeron N4020 and 4 GB of DDR4 RAM makes it well-suited for tasks such as streaming high-definition video, managing emails, and utilizing web-based applications. Because it comes pre-loaded with Windows APP and the Windows 11 Home operating system, users can experience a modern, familiar interface right out of the box.

The 14.1-inch HD display provides a sufficient canvas for media consumption. While the 45% NTSC color gamut is not intended for professional color grading, it provides a clear and functional visual experience for watching movies or browsing social media. The inclusion of an internal mic and a 1 Mega Pixel web camera ensures that the device is capable of handling basic video calls, making it a useful tool for remote learning or casual social interaction.

One of the most significant aspects of the everyday experience is the battery life. The device offers up to 8 hours of battery backup, which is a critical metric for a "Thin and Light" laptop. This longevity allows users to engage in several hours of continuous work or entertainment without the immediate need to search for a power outlet, enhancing its utility as a mobile device.

Regarding usability, the laptop is designed to be straightforward. It does not feature a touchscreen, a backlit keyboard, or a stylus, which keeps the device focused on traditional input methods. The absence of an optical disk drive further contributes to its slim profile, catering to a modern era where digital downloads and streaming have largely replaced physical media.

Design, Build Quality & Efficiency

The design of the Ultimus Pro emphasizes a Stylish & Portable aesthetic. Finished in a sleek Silver, the laptop presents a professional yet modern look. Its classification as a Thin and Light Laptop is central to its physical identity. While the specification lists a weight of 1.3 g, this is interpreted within the context of its ultra-portable design intended for effortless transport.

Build-wise, the device is noted as not fragile, suggesting a level of durability suitable for daily commuting and standard handling. The 14.1-inch chassis provides a balance between screen real estate and a compact footprint. The architecture utilizes a 14 NM process, which is a key factor in the device's energy efficiency, contributing to the aforementioned 8-hour battery life and manageable thermal profile during standard operation.

The physical layout is streamlined. The inclusion of a Mini HDMI port is a specific design choice that allows for external monitor connectivity while maintaining a slim chassis. The port selection—comprising USB 3.0 and USB 2.0—ensures that users can connect a variety of essential peripherals like mice, external drives, or printers without needing extensive adapters.
