As a Thin and Light Laptop, it seeks to balance high-end visual fidelity with a highly portable form factor, making it a compelling choice for those who require a device that transitions seamlessly between office environments, travel scenarios, and home entertainment setups.

Targeted primarily at users engaged in Everyday Use, Travel & Business, and Entertainment, the Motobook 60 Pro leverages the latest architectural advancements from Intel to provide a responsive, AI-ready computing experience. By integrating a high-quality OLED display with a chassis that emphasizes both style and durability, Motorola is targeting a demographic that values aesthetic sophistication—highlighted by the unique PANTONE Wedgewood colorway—without sacrificing the technical specifications required for multitasking and media consumption.

In a market saturated with plastic-heavy ultrabooks, the Motobook 60 Pro distinguishes itself through its Full Metal construction and its focus on the WUXGA OLED visual standard. This device is not merely a tool for productivity but a multimedia hub, pre-loaded with Office Home & Student 2024, ensuring that users can begin their professional or academic workflows immediately upon unboxing.

Core Specifications & Architecture

At the heart of the Motorola Motobook 60 Pro lies the Intel Core Ultra 5 225H processor. This component serves as the primary engine for the device, providing the computational power necessary for modern AI-driven tasks and efficient multitasking. The architecture is supported by 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, operating at a high frequency of 5600 MHz. This high-speed memory is crucial for reducing latency and ensuring that the Windows 11 Home operating system runs smoothly under heavy workloads.

Storage is handled by a 512 GB SSD, providing rapid boot times and quick access to applications and files. The system architecture is designed for efficiency and connectivity, featuring a robust selection of ports and wireless standards:

• Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 225H
• Memory: 16 GB DDR5 (5600 MHz) with 2 memory slots
• Storage: 512 GB SSD
• Graphics: Intel Integrated Graphics
• Display: 14-inch WUXGA OLED (1920 x 1200)
• Operating System: Windows 11 Home (64-bit)

The connectivity suite is comprehensive for a device of this size. It includes 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports that support data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, and DisplayPort 1.4, allowing for versatile docking and peripheral expansion. Additionally, the device features 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Always On) and 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 for standard peripherals, an HDMI 2.1 TMDS port for external displays, and a Micro SD Card Reader for expandable storage. Notably, it also includes an RJ45 port, a rarity in modern thin-and-light laptops, ensuring stable wired networking for business environments.

Performance, Usability & Everyday Experience

Real-world performance is dictated by the synergy between the Intel Core Ultra 5 processor and the 16 GB DDR5 memory. Users can expect a highly responsive experience when navigating through complex spreadsheets, managing multiple browser tabs, or engaging in video conferencing. The inclusion of an FHD Webcam and 2 Digital Array Microphones ensures that the device is well-equipped for the demands of remote work and virtual meetings.

The visual experience is arguably the standout feature of this model. The 14-inch WUXGA OLED Display offers a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, providing a crisp and clear canvas for both text and media. With a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and a brightness of 400 Nits, the display is capable of reproducing highly accurate and vibrant colors, making it an excellent choice for entertainment and light creative tasks. While the 60 Hz refresh rate is standard for this category, the OLED technology ensures deep blacks and high contrast ratios that traditional LCD panels cannot match.

For audio, the Motobook 60 Pro utilizes Stereo speakers (2W x2) that are optimized with Dolby Atmos. This provides an immersive soundstage for watching movies or listening to music. The user experience is further enhanced by security features such as Face Recognition, allowing for quick and secure biometric logins without the need for a fingerprint sensor. The backlit keyboard adds a layer of usability for those working in low-light environments, ensuring productivity is not interrupted by ambient lighting conditions.

Design, Build Quality & Efficiency

Motorola has clearly prioritized portability and premium feel in the design of the Motobook 60 Pro. The Full Metal chassis provides a sense of durability and structural integrity that is essential for a device intended for Travel & Business. Despite its robust build, the laptop remains remarkably light at only 1.39 kg, with a slim profile of 31.34 x 22.1 x 1.69 cm, making it easy to slip into a bag and carry throughout the day.

The aesthetic choice of PANTONE Wedgewood offers a sophisticated and professional look that deviates from the standard silver or black laptops found in most corporate settings. This color, combined with the metal finish, positions the device as a stylish accessory for the modern professional.

In terms of energy management, the device is powered by a Lithium-Polymer battery that offers up to 6 hours of battery backup. While this is suitable for short bursts of intensive work or moderate daily tasks, users performing heavy-duty tasks may need to rely on the included 65W AC Adapter. The power delivery capabilities of the USB-C ports also suggest a modern approach to charging and peripheral power management. The design is intentionally streamlined, omitting an optical disk drive to maintain its Thin and Light profile.
