Asus Vivobook Go 15 Intel Celeron N4020 E510MA EJ011WS

Product Overview & Value Proposition

The Asus Vivobook Go 15 (E510MA-EJ011WS) is a specialized entry-level laptop designed to bridge the gap between essential computing and modern portability. Positioned within the Vivobook Go 15 series, this device is engineered for users who prioritize mobility and fundamental productivity over high-end computational power. It is a Thin and Light Laptop that targets a diverse demographic, including students engaged in learning, professionals requiring a device for travel and business, and casual users looking for a reliable machine for everyday use and entertainment.

In a market often saturated with heavy, power-hungry machines, the Vivobook Go 15 offers a streamlined alternative. By combining a 15.6-inch Full HD display with a lightweight chassis, Asus has created a tool that is suitable for processing and multitasking in light-duty environments. The inclusion of Windows 11 Home and Microsoft Office out of the box makes it a "ready-to-work" solution for those who need to jump straight into academic or administrative tasks without the immediate need for additional software investments.

The value proposition of this model lies in its balance of essential modern standards—such as an SSD-based storage system and a high-definition display—with a cost-effective processor architecture. It is not a machine for heavy video editing or high-fidelity gaming, but rather a dedicated companion for web browsing, document preparation, and media consumption.

Core Specifications & Architecture

At the heart of the Asus Vivobook Go 15 is the Intel Celeron Dual Core N4020 processor. This CPU architecture is built around two cores and features a 4 MB cache, providing a base clock speed of 1.10GHz that can ramp up to a burst frequency of 2.80GHz. This processor is paired with Intel Integrated Graphics, which manages visual output through the system's shared resources, making it efficient for standard UI animations and video playback.

Memory and storage configurations are optimized for responsiveness in daily tasks. The device is equipped with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, which provides the necessary headroom for running multiple browser tabs and office applications simultaneously. For storage, the laptop utilizes a 256 GB SSD. The transition from traditional hard drives to Solid State Drive technology ensures faster boot times and quicker application loading, which is critical for a device powered by a Celeron processor.

Performance, Usability & Everyday Experience

Real-world performance for the Asus Vivobook Go 15 is defined by its efficiency in handling "everyday" workloads. The combination of the N4020 processor and 8 GB of DDR4 RAM ensures that the Windows 11 Home environment remains fluid during standard operations. Users can expect smooth performance when navigating web browsers, managing spreadsheets in Microsoft Office, or streaming high-definition content.

The visual experience is a standout feature for this category. Unlike many budget-oriented laptops that settle for lower resolutions, the Vivobook Go 15 features a Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The Anti-glare display is particularly beneficial for users working in varied lighting conditions, reducing reflections that can cause eye strain. With a brightness rating of 200 nits and an 84% screen-to-body ratio, the display provides an immersive viewing area that maximizes the 15.6-inch panel.

For communication and remote collaboration, the device includes a VGA web camera and a built-in microphone. While these are standard components, they facilitate essential video conferencing for students and business travelers. Connectivity is handled via Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) Dual band (1 x 1) and Bluetooth v4.1, ensuring stable wireless access to networks and peripheral devices like wireless mice or headphones.

Design, Build Quality & Efficiency

The Asus Vivobook Go 15 is characterized by its Star Black aesthetic, offering a professional and understated look. Despite its 15.6-inch footprint, the design adheres to the "Thin and Light" philosophy. The physical dimensions are 360.2 x 236.4 x 18.1 mm, and the device weighs only 1.57 kg, making it highly portable for travel and commuting.

The build focuses on functional ergonomics. It features a Chiclet Keyboard, which is designed for a comfortable typing experience during long study or work sessions. It is important to note that this specific model does not include a backlit keyboard, which may affect usability in very low-light environments. The chassis is designed without an optical disk drive, contributing to its slim profile and reduced weight.

Power management is handled by a 3-cell, 42 WHrs Li-ion battery. This battery capacity, paired with the low-power consumption of the Intel Celeron N4020, is intended to support extended periods of use away from a power outlet. When replenishment is needed, the device uses a 33W AC Adapter. The port selection is comprehensive for a thin-and-light device, offering versatility for peripherals:

• 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C
• 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
• 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A
• 1 x HDMI 1.4 port
• Microphone In and Built-in Speakers
