Its primary value proposition lies in its ability to manage air quality across a significant footprint, making it a versatile solution for residential or professional settings where maintaining a high standard of air purity is a priority.

Targeting individuals living in urban environments or those sensitive to allergens, the Forbes 355 Surround 360 SM is built to tackle a wide spectrum of airborne contaminants. Whether the goal is to mitigate the effects of seasonal pollen, reduce household odors, or manage fine particulate matter, this unit provides a comprehensive technological suite to achieve those ends. By integrating Surround 360 Air Intake Technology, the device ensures that air is drawn in from all directions, maximizing the efficiency of its internal filtration systems and ensuring that no corner of the room is left unaddressed.

In the current market, air purifiers are often categorized by their filtration depth and their ability to communicate with smart home ecosystems. The Forbes model excels in both areas, offering a robust 4-stage purification process and WiFi Enabled Control. This makes it an ideal choice for the tech-savvy consumer who demands real-time data and remote accessibility, as well as for those who prioritize the health benefits of medical-grade H13 HEPA filtration.

Core Specifications & Architecture

At the heart of the Forbes 355 Surround 360 SM is a highly engineered 4-stage filtration architecture designed to capture a diverse range of pollutants. This systematic approach ensures that each layer of the device performs a specific, critical function in the purification cycle, preventing premature clogging of the finer filters and ensuring maximum longevity and efficiency.

Advanced 4-Stage Purification System

The purification sequence is comprised of four distinct layers, each targeting a specific size and type of airborne particle:

• Pre-filter: This initial layer is responsible for capturing larger unwanted particles such as dust, pollen, and insects, preventing them from reaching the more sensitive internal components.
• Activated Carbon Filter: This stage focuses on chemical and gaseous pollutants. It is specifically designed to absorb odors, smoke, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and other harmful gases, significantly improving the olfactory quality of the indoor environment.
• True HEPA H13 Filter: The centerpiece of the system, the H13 grade HEPA filter, is capable of filtering ultra-fine particles. It is engineered to remove up to 99.97% of particulate matter as small as 0.1 µm, including mold, microbes, and various allergens.
• Plasma Filtration: The final stage utilizes plasma technology to provide an additional layer of purification, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the air cleaning process.

Technical Performance Metrics

The performance of the Forbes 355 Surround 360 SM is defined by its Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) and its coverage capabilities. The device boasts a CADR of 355 CMH (cubic meters per hour), which is a critical metric for determining how quickly the unit can cycle and clean the air in a given space. This high airflow level allows the device to be effective in larger environments, specifically providing coverage for an area of up to 480 sq. ft.

From a power efficiency standpoint, the unit is designed to operate with a relatively low power consumption of 35 W, ensuring that continuous operation does not result in excessive energy costs. The internal architecture is further supported by a Smart Digital PM2.5 Indicator, which provides users with real-time data regarding the concentration of fine particulate matter in the air, allowing for informed monitoring of the room's air quality.

Performance, Usability & Everyday Experience

The real-world utility of the Forbes 355 Surround 360 SM is found in its ability to adapt to changing environmental conditions through intelligent automation. The device is not merely a passive filter; it is an active environmental monitor that responds to the air it processes.

Intelligent Automation and Control

One of the standout features for daily usability is the Auto Mode. This mode allows the purifier to automatically adjust its fan speed based on detected pollution levels and ambient light conditions. This ensures that during periods of high pollution, the device ramps up its performance, and during cleaner periods or at night, it scales back to conserve energy and maintain a quiet environment. This automation is complemented by WiFi Enabled Control, granting users the ability to manage settings remotely, providing a level of convenience that is essential for modern smart homes.

For users who prefer manual control, the device offers an extensive range of settings. The fan speed is highly adjustable, featuring 12 different speed settings. This granularity allows users to fine-tune the airflow to their exact preference, whether they require a gentle breeze or maximum purification power. Additionally, a timer function is available, allowing users to set the device to operate for anywhere from 1 to 12 hours, providing flexibility for scheduled use.

User Interface and Feedback

The interaction between the user and the machine is facilitated through a Digital and Colour Indicator display. This interface provides clear, visual feedback regarding the device's status and the current air quality. The inclusion of the PM2.5 indicator ensures that the user is never guessing about the cleanliness of their air; the data is presented clearly and in real-time. For nighttime use, the Sleep Mode and Silent Mode are critical, ensuring that the device operates quietly so as not to disrupt rest or concentration.

Design, Build Quality & Efficiency

The physical design of the Forbes 355 Surround 360 SM balances functional requirements with a clean, modern aesthetic. The device is finished in a professional White shade, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into various interior design schemes, from minimalist modern living rooms to professional office spaces.

Dimensions and Portability

Despite its powerful performance, the unit maintains a relatively compact footprint. The dimensions are 24.3 cm in width, 53.5 cm in height, and 24.3 cm in depth. Weighing in at 4.3 kg, the device is categorized as portable, meaning it can be moved between rooms with relative ease, allowing users to target specific areas of a home or office as needed.

Safety and Durability

Forbes has incorporated several features to ensure the device is safe for all household members. The inclusion of a Child Lock is a vital safety feature, preventing accidental changes to settings by children. The build quality is designed to support continuous operation, supported by an automatic shut-off feature that enhances both safety and energy efficiency by ensuring the device does not run unnecessarily.

The Surround 360 Air Intake Technology is not just a performance feature but a design triumph. By allowing air to be drawn in from all sides, the physical structure of the purifier is optimized to maximize the volume of air processed per minute, ensuring that the 355 CMH airflow is utilized to its fullest potential within the device's physical envelope.
