Micromax Launches Bolt A61 Budget Smartphone in India

Micromax has launched its new low-cost budget Android smartphone - Bolt A61. The phone is available on the Micromax official site for Rs 4,999. The phone has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 2-megapixel camera with flash. It also has 3G connectivity and dual SIM support. It supports 256MB RAM and an internal memory of 512MB. The phone also supports a microSD card slot that supports a microSD card up to 16GB.

The detailed specifications of Micromax Bolt A61 are as follows:

  • It supports 256MB RAM, 512MB internal memory (135MB user memory), expandable memory up to 16GB with microSD
  • It is packed with 1500 mAh battery with up to 3.55 hours talk time, up to 160h standby

To promote the phone, Micromax is offering few preloaded apps with Micromax Bolt A61 that include Kingston office, Hike, Spuul, Opera and MiLive. This low-budget smartphone from Micromax will compete against the likes of iBall Andi series, Intex Cloud X4, Spice Smart Flo Space and many more.
The newly announced Micromax Bolt A61 will join the Bolt series of smartphones which includes the Micromax Bolt A26, Micromax Bolt A34, Micromax Bolt A35, Micromax Bolt A40, Micromax Bolt A58 and Micromax Bolt A26Bolt A58.

A few days back, Micromax had introduced two other affordable smartphones - Micromax Canvas Juice A77 and Micromax Canvas HD A116i.
The recently unveiled Canvas HD A1161 smartphone features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and boasts of a pixel density of 294ppi. Micromax Canvas HD supports 8-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and 4X zoom, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. There is 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
