Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Review: Is it worth a Buy?

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is packed with amazing features like upgraded hardware, improved camera, gigantic screen and meaningful UI additions which makes this device stand out from the rest of the smartphones. But is it worth it? This premium Samsung phone delivers a speedy multitasking experience with new taskbar and new Android 12L version wich helps in running multiple apps simultaneously alongwith drag and drop content between windows. Great camera performance, wider front display makes it quite attractive though price is bit on higher side. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 makes multitasking easier with a new taskbar and new version of Android 12L. Samsung also delivers better cameras, a wider front display and a brighter main screen in a sleeker package. However, the price remains very high and this is still a bulky device.

This Samsung device is packed with expansive and bezel-less 7.6-inch AMOLED front screen display having screen resolution of 1812 x 2176 pixels and 373ppi pixel density. The screen display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus layer. In terms of camera, it’s a delight for photographers with triple rear camera module comprising of a 50MP Wide Angle Primary Shooter, a 10MP Telephoto Lens and another 12MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera. Rear camera setup comes with LED flash and other relevant features like HDR mode, ISO control and Exposure Compensation. Front camera comprises of 10MP and 4MP Cameras to capture stunning portraits.

Hardware Specifications:

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset coupled with gigantic 12GB RAM. Packed with an Octa-core processor (which includes Cortex A710, Cortex A510, and Cortex X2 layout) clocking at 3.2GHz speed, it provides a high-quality user experience. Though this chipset is not as powerful as Apple's A15 Bionic but Qualcomm is good enough for highly CPU-intensive ones, like editing 8K video. An Adreno 730 GPU graphics offers great 3D experience. In terms of storage, it provides non-expandable 256GB internal storage.

Battery and Connectivity :

It comes with powerful non-removable 4400mAh Li-ion battery with 25W Fast Charging system to provide uninterrupted usage for minimum 12-13 hours. In terms of connectivity, this foldable smartphone is compatible with 4G VoLTE and 5G connections, besides USB Type-C, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, A-GPS and Bluetooth v5.2.

However, its an attractive handset, both when it is closed and when unfolded into its bigger tablet mode and hence can also be used as a gaming device and for viewing Netflix etc. Though it’s a big dent on pocket because of high pricing but its foldable design with amazing functionalities are worth trying for. Massive internal storage, seamless multitasking experience, robust chipset and impressive camera setup makes it a worthy buy. Foldable phones are here to stay and Samsung has heavily invested in this form factor.
