Google offers Great Online Shopping Festival in India- GOSF 2014
Body
If you are about to buy yourself some new clothes, electronics, shoes, furniture or household items, then give it a hold as Google India has announced the Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF) for 2014.
The initiative was launched by Google in 2012 to boost the adoption of online shopping in India. The concept of the GOSF was that the online shopping sites would give heavy discounts for one day, in order to promote their sales and benefit the user. Though GOSF 2013 was great, we can expect a lot more from GOSF 2014 like:
1. More than 400 online stores/companies will be participating in GOSF 2014 including Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong, Amazon.in, Snapdeal, Lenskart, HomeShop18, Makemytrip and Indiatimes, to name a few. This will give more options to the customers and make user experience more rewarding and beneficial.
2. Better categorisation of products as it’s difficult for customers to go & check every product.
This time it will be bigger & better as E-commerce in India is increasing multi-fold every year. Google has announced that the shopping festival will run between 10 – 12th December 2014, which is just two weeks away. In addition, the GOSF website had also announced a pre-party on November 25, as a prelude to the actual shopping festival. Last year, though the festival attracted lots of interest, it met with several major hurdles. Less than an hour after the festival went live, the site went down due to a technical error. Google then had to extend the festival by another day. Hopefully, this time GOSF team will be better equipped to run the festival smoothly.
## In 2014, Google will be hosting more than 400 partners offering deals and discounts on a single platform gosf.in.
## GOSF is a 3 day event starting from 10th December and ending on 12th Dec, 2014.
## The partners that are participating in this year GOSF will be listed on gosf.in across categories depending on the merchandise/services offered to consumers by them.
