Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus : Features and Specifications

The new Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus come with lot of enhancements, new features and improved cameras as compared to the previous models iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Apple iPhone 6s available for preorder and will be available in stores on September 25.

  1. Design and display : Apple has not changed the look and design of the latest 6s models. Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus come with 4.7 and 5.5-inch screen displays and weigh 14 grams and 20 grams more than their predecessors due to 3D touch display. They are made from new 7000 series areospace graded Aluminium alloy material which is stronger and more durable than the 6000 series used in previous models. They are available in multiple color options - Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, and Space Gray colors.
  2. Camera : The device come with 12MP rear camera with better features and camera improvements like color accuracy, optical stabilization and Autofocus. 5MP front-facing camera is suitable for clicking selfies and comes with True-tone Retina Flash which ensures great picture quality even in dark. The display automatically becomes three times brighter just before the photo is being clicked and then gets back to normal after photo is taken. The user can record 4K videos at 3,840 x 2,160-pixel resolution and can capture 63 megapixel panoramas.
  3. Processor : This latest Apple handset come with advanced 64-bit A9 processor which provides 70 percent faster CPU performance and 90 percent faster graphics performance than A8 chip which was used in previous iPhone models. Apple has also introduced M9 motion coprocessor in A9 chip which will ensure that the phone always stays on while consuming less power.
  4. RAM and Storage : All iPhones desperately needed RAM upgrade as they featured only 1 GB RAM. Apple has upgraded RAM storage to 2GB, ensuring multi-tasking and lag-free performance. Only drawback is 16 GB internal storage which is not enough in case user wants to record 4K videos or play heavy games.
  5. Advanced Features : Apple has introduced new innovated features like Live Photos, 23 4G LTE bands and 3D Touch in their latest handsets. With “Live Photos” feature, the user can capture 1.5 seconds of movement along with the photo to create short and memorable video or animation. It puts life to still photos. With “3D Force Touch” feature, user can perform different functions by applying different levels of pressure and thus saving time and effort. User can view fully functional menu on hard press called “Pop”, and with light touch called “Peek”, user can open apps. They support 23 LTE bands which ensures twice as fast speed on roaming than Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus. In areas where there no LTE coverage, it offers Wi-Fi connectivity upto 866 Mb/s.
