Amazon launches 3D smartphone- AMAZON FIRE

Amazon , world's biggest online retailer, has ventured into the smartphone market by launching its first smartphone ever, Amazon Fire Phone.
Amazon Fire Phone is supposed to have a 4.7-inch 720p display, Fire OS 3.5, quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM, 13MP rear camera and users will also have an access to all the apps available on Amazon’s App Store.

It has some really amazing and innovative features as follows :

• Display : Fire phone will have an eye-catching 3D interface called Dynamic Perspective. It can add depth effect to the display image to give the 3D effect. With this feature, user can perform various functions by simply tilting Amazon Fore Phone. A right tilt helps in navigating through menus, whereas a left tilt allows the user to use shortcuts such as attaching photos to messages, viewing song lyrics etc. There is also a feature called Peek, which keeps your display uncluttered by revealing additional details and quick actions only when you need it.
• Firefly technology : Firefly is another important feature of Amazon Fire Phone. It is basically a mobile app which enables the user to scan any product , see the product details, add items to your Wish List, or buy them via Amazon straight from your Fire phone. Firefly also identifies printed text on posters, magazines, and business cards and thus can make calls, save new contacts, send emails, and visit websites without typing long addresses.
• Mayday : Like the Kindle Fire HDX and the HDX 8.9, the Fire phone will also support Mayday video. With this, user gets connected to a customer support specialist via video call just by pressing a button. The average time to connect is claimed to be under 10 seconds, which is quite impressive and appreciable.
• Free Prime membership : Fire Phone buyers will get free Prime membership worth $99 by Amazon. Prime membership, available only in the US, includes free unlimited music and video streaming (over a million songs), guaranteed two-day delivery, free books.
• Great Audio Performance : This device comes with dual stereo speakers and built-in Dolby Digital Plus audio enhancement technology to provide premium sound quality to users.

According to the price list given on AT&T and Amazon websites, the price of Fire phone starts at $199 (Rs. 11,945) for the 32GB model and $299 (Rs. 17,951) for the 64GB model, respectively. This smartphone is expected to be released on 25th July 2014. This device is expected to come to India soon.
