Micromax Yu Yunicorn launched at 12,999 INR
After the failure of Yu Yutopia, Micromax subsidiary YU has launched its latest flagship model of 2016, Yu Yunicorn. It will be exclusively available at Flipkart at an introductory price of 12,999 INR for first one month. Post introductory price, it will be sold at 13,499. It is probably the company's best smartphone till date. The device will available in multiple color options- Rush Silver, Graphite and Rush Gold (limited edition).
This 8.5mm thick smartphone provides a premium feel and look with unibody metal-clad design using brushed aluminium alloy including magnesium and manganese. On the front, there is 2.5D glass panel with curved edges and Gorilla glass 3 protection against scratches or any accidental damage.
The highlight of this phone is the new Helio P10 chipset and latest AOS (Android on Steriods) software unlike Cyanogen OS in previous models. It also sports a front mounted fingerprint sensor just below the home screen which can store upto 5 fingerprints on a chip. In terms of hardware, this dual-SIM handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helios P10 chipset paired with 4GB RAM, Mali T860 GPU and 32GB internal memory with an expandable memory. The camera performance is decent with 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and 5MP front-facing camera for clicking selfies.

Verdict :
Yu Yunicorn will definitely a good buy with great features and specifications. It looks great especially in gold colour. It provides seamless performance and decent battery backup which is even better than Moto G4 Plus and Samsung Galaxy J7 in the same price bracket. Nevertheless, it will also face tough competition from LeEco Le 1S Eco and Meizu M3 Note with similar hardware but priced at 9,999 INR.
